The Ingredients
If you have an outdoor grill, we highly recommend that you prepare this Grilled Chicken Burger Recipe there for best results. If not, you can prepare this dish with using cast iron pan searing and then steaming. Either way, it will turn out amazing for sure. The ingredients are:
- Burger buns of choice
- 2 small chicken breasts
- One small red onion
- One large tomato
- A hand full of daikon radish and
- A hand full of sliced red cabbage
- One large egg
- 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of lemon or lime juice
- Vegetable oil or avocado oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Balsamic vinegar
Directions
Prepare the mayonnaise first by adding eggs, mustard, lemon juice, salt (about 1/2 tsp) and pepper to a blender then start it on low. Blend the ingredients together for about 10 seconds, then slowly pour in oil. Once the blender can’t continue blending because the mayonnaise has become too thick, stop the oil pouring, your mayonnaise is ready.
Prepare your outdoor grill by applying oil and pre-heating to medium heat or until smoking hot. Apply generous salt and pepper over the chicken breasts. Grill for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove the chicken breasts from the grill once golden brown in color.
Then peel and slice the onion and cabbage, wash and slice tomato, and wash and dry the daikon radish. Toast the buns if desired then spread some of the mayonnaise on the bottom and top, place onion, chicken breasts, some tomato slices and daikon radish on top and red cabbage at the bottom. Finish by pouring a little bit of balsamic vinegar on top of everything if desired and top with top part of burger bun. Enjoy!
