Although the station is broadcast from Wilmington, the signal is strong enough to be a competitive station in the Philadelphia radio market as it is Philadelphia’s only radio station to have a similar format to rival WBEB. WJBR plays a variety of 80s, 90s and Today.

The station is currently owned by University of Delaware. This student run radio station is located in the Perkins student center at the University of Delaware. The transmitting antenna is located on the top of the Christiana East Tower residence building.

WILM (1450 AM) is a conservative talk radio station broadcasting in Wilmington. The station is owned by iHeartMedia. WILM is known as the station where radio and television talk show Joe Pyne developed the confrontational style now standard in radio and TV talk shows. WSTW (93.7 FM) is a hot adult contemporary formatted radio station that broadcasts in the Wilmington, Delaware metropolitan area which is just south of Philadelphia. Although the station and transmitter are located in Wilmington, the signal is strong enough to provide city-grade coverage of most of Philadelphia itself and at least Grade B coverage of most of the Philadelphia area.
